Lord of the Rings Meets Transformers

The title of this post pretty much says it all. Someone, somewhere, synced up scenes from the Transformers 80s cartoon with lines from the Lord of the Rings movies.

Enjoy.

The Dark Knight

Well, they have released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Batman movie, The Dark Knight.

Visually, there is not much to see but the exploding Bat logo. However, the audio does have some nice tidbits.

Enjoy.

New Information Regarding Pat Tillman

To all the people who voted for King, err George Bush in 2004, I hope you are happy with how things are turning out. I hope you are happy that King George is LYING to the American public and the world every TIME HE OPENS HIS DAMN MOUTH.

His claim of Executive Privilege in the Pat Tillman murder case is astounding. Why would a president feel the need to make the murder of a Corporal in the Army Rangers top secret information? Why cover up his murder by his fellow Rangers?

Murder, you say? When did this become a murder? It just now has.

A new article from the AP is making this claim based on doctors evidence from the ones who did the autopsy.

It appears that Pat Tillman was gunned down in cold blood, execution style. 3 bullet holes to the forehead. Executed. By AMERICAN soldiers.

I cannot begin to describe the horror and anger I feel right now.

The fact that American soldiers can turn on each other and execute a fellow member is mind boggling.

the fact that this king can claim it to be a matter of national security by claiming executive privilege pisses me off. King george is an utter waste of human material. And his Sith master, Darth DICK Cheney, is the ringleader of this whole shitfest.

The way that they constantly and arrogantly take a shit on the US Constitution and LIE about it is beyond belief. Then they claim that anyone who accuses them of destroying the Constitution is somehow not a patriot and is helping the enemy.

I hate everything that Darth Cheney and king george stand for. They are bad men. They should be thrown in prison. They should be arrested. They should be tortured just like they torture anyone who gets in their way. They should be disgraced.

I hate them all. I hope they die lonely and forgotten behind the baseboard of a soiled bathroom in a poor neighborhood. With their hands in Tony Blair's pants.

Jim Valvano At the 1993 ESPYs

There is not much I can say about this man or this speech that has not already been said before. It is one of the more inspirational speeches that you will ever hear.
Jimmy V was dying of cancer when he gave this speech. He tells all of us how we should live our lives.
Every day we should laugh, think, and have our emotions move us to tears. These are words to live by.
If you ever feel like you are having a bad day all you have to do is watch this video.
Enjoy it. Leave a response. Tell your friends.

Dick Cheney Is A Rogue Nation

I love watching the show Countdown on MSNBC hosted by Keith Olbermann. He is a very intelligent and witty person. I have always received a kick out of him beginning with his days on ESPN.
I have been reluctant to add political content to this blog lately, but I cannot pass up on this one. The following video comes from the episode on June 21, 2007. Evidently, Dick Cheney has officially listed himself above the law.
Olbermann's comments are both hysterical and sad at the same time.

I Dare You

Seriously. Prove to me that you don't find the following video too cute. I dare you. I don't think you can.
You will be overcome by the cuteness of it. You will not be able to help yourself.
Watch it and see.

Enjoy.

The NBA Championship

Well, I just finished watching the San Antonio Spurs absolutely demolish the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4. The Cavs had no business being in the same building as the Spurs.

So, the Spurs have now won 4 titles in the past decade. Well congrats to them. But, let me speak for 98% of the country.

"Who gives a rats ass?"

The Spurs are depressingly boring to watch. I think I'd rather watch dogs commit suicide. Or, I'd rather watch another Hulk movie. Or another Schumacher directed Batman movie.

They play good defense. They are a team. Everything that the NBS is NOT supposed to be. If, I'm watching pros play the game, shouldn't they at least score more than college teams?

David Stern will never ever admit to this, but defense is bad for the NBA. There need to be more teams like the Phoenix Suns. Tim Duncan is as photogenic and charismatic as a bowl of soup.

Well, at least the NFL season is fast approaching. Ugh.
Oh, look Joel Schumacher is knocking at my door with his Batman movies. Time to throw a pizza party. Because, you know, the Batmobile can drive up the sides of buildings.

Gene Upshaw Has Gone Too Far

Well, I am sitting here watching ESPN Sportscenter and I hear this story about how Gene Upshaw, executive director of the NFL Players Association, is quoted as saying he is going to "break some guy's .... damn neck."

The guy he is referring to is Joe DeLamielleure, a Hall of Fame Offensive lineman for the Buffalo Bills.

Upshaw's threat apparently was in response to DeLamielleure's comments about how he considers the NFLPA to be not acting in the interest of the retired players. The NFLPA has been accused by many people of not acting in a fair manner regarding the health of former players, including injuries and concussions.

DeLamielleure joins a chorus of people criticizing Gene Upshaw that includes former player and coach Mike Ditka, and Lem Barney.

I am kind of in shock as to Upshaw's threat to break Joe's neck. You have to be smarter than that. He has had his elected job for 24 years now. Evidently he considers himself above criticism. If that is the case, then he must step aside. There is no other option.

So, I join Mike Ditka in asking for Gene Upshaw to resign. Let someone else lead the NFLPA.

The Cubs Doing What They Do Best

Here I am browsing different sites on the internet and listening to ESPN on TV. Along comes a story that just makes me shake my head and laugh.

The Atlanta Braves are currently beating the Cubs 8-1. The Cubs losing is not what made em shake my head. What caused that was hearing that Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano and catcher Michael Barrett got into a fight in the dugout.

Let me say this for people who haven't caught on yet. These two players are on the same team. Teammates. And they are fighting.

Oh well, with the Cubs already out of the playoff race, at least I have the upcoming football season to look forward to.

Way to spend $300 million Cub leadership. Congrats.

EDIT: Well, the Cubs did lose the game. And it finally hit me, no pun intended, that the Cubs cannot even lose correctly. Ugh. I think the Cubs would save everybody a lot of time and energy if they all just went out into the street and shot themselves.

Man, I love the movie Major League.

Marquise Hill (1982 - 2007)

The New England Patriots family lost a member of that family.
Marquise Hill, a 2nd round pick in 2004 from LSU, died while he and a female friend were riding jet skis on Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans, La earlier this week. Neither were wearing a life vest.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

ESPN.com says that:

New England Patriots defensive end Marquise Hill spent much of his free time and his NFL paycheck helping loved ones rebuild in the hurricane-damaged city where he grew up.
Aiding others came naturally to him, and distraught relatives on Monday said Hill died a hero after the former LSU star helped save the life of a former high school classmate who could not swim.

Apparently Hill, was guiding the lady friend to a buoy where she could hold on while he was drifting away. Evidently, he was selfless to the end.

His presence and demeanor will surely be missed on the Patriots team this year and every year ahead.

Marquise Hill was 24 years old. He leaves a 2 year old son and a fiancee.

Bruce Campbell Is At It Again

Well, Bruce Campbell has produced another Old Spice commercial. This time he is playing the piano singing the 80s song Hungry Like The Wolf.

From his previous Old Spice commercial to his cameos in the Spiderman films to Army of Darkness, Bruce Campbell, as I said earlier, has IT.

Enjoy the video from YouTube.

Transformers: The (New) Movie

Movie trailer Chuck is back with another installment. Transformers. The live action film being made by Michael Bay.

Well, I grew up on the Transformers as a kid. They were the toys that I played with the most.

Now, comes this new iteration of the figures from my childhood. A Michael Bay production.

I have already come to the acceptance that this movie will have no resemblance to what I remember from my childhood. That is probably for the better.

This way I can go out and enjoy this movie. This flick will be the ultimate summer popcorn chewing experience. I am going to go watch this movie and marvel at the shiny, explody, expensive train wreck.

I expect nothing from this movie except to say, "Heh heh, look at the cars go boom."

Oh well. At least Batman comes out next year.

Enjoy the trailer.

Does the Joker Believe In Harvey Dent Too?

The new Batman movie is still over a year away, but that does not mean that the promotional side of things is not already moving. Take the button I have on the right side of this page. The one that says I believe in Harvey Dent. It links to what is believed to be the eventual official Harvey Dent for DA campaign.
Well, not to be outdone, but it appears that the Joker has come about and started his own website, I Believe in Harvey Dent Too.
Take a look for yourself. If you wait long enough you will get to see a picture of the face of the new Joker played by Heath Ledger.
All I can say is that it looks creepy.

UPDATE: If you check out the Joker's website of Harvey Dent, it appears that the page is no longer working. But that all changes when you go to highlight the page. Go ahead. Check it out.

The escalation draws nearer. Bring it on.

The Cubs Are At It Again

Well, it's another baseball season. Another season of the same ol' Chicago Cubs. The lines of, "We'll get em next year."

Well, they pulled off another improbable loss today. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. They were leading 5-1 in the 9th inning against the New York Mets.

They spend a couple hundred million dollars this offseason to 'upgrade' the roster. Oh well. We should be used to it by now.

Ho hum.

We'll get em next year.

The Upcoming Batman Movie

Well, seeing as how we are still over a year away from the release of the next Batman movie, The Dark Knight, I thought that now would be a good time to start the "hype".

There is really only one site that you should keep an eye on. It is called Batman-On-Film (BOF). It is run by someone who uses the name Jett. He has had the site since 1998.

He does not try to out scoop other sites or run rampant rumors. He posts legit information. If there is something that might be considered a spoiler, he blanks it out so that you have to highlight the section in order to read it.

On the BOF site, he has a listing of all the cast and crew, some pictures and whatnot from the various shoots.

I highly recommend BOF to anyone who might be the least bit interested in Batman. I tend to check it out every few days or so. The frequency depends on what is going on with the film itself. He updates constantly.

So, give the site a looking over. You'll be back.

Bruce Campbell has "IT"

This video is posted for some friends who have not seen it. The whole topic was brought up after watching Spiderman 3.
You see, Bruce Campbell plays a host at this fancy restaurant that Peter Parker takes Mary Jane Watson to. The scene is complete BC awesomeness.
So, I mentioned that after Army of Darkness, this Old Spice commercial is classic BC.
So, sit back and enjoy the coolness factor that is Bruce Campbell.

Oh yeah, do you notice anything sitting by the fireplace at the beginning of the commercial? Something that looks like a chainsaw???

Anyway, enjoy the video.

Barry Bonds and the Home Run Record

I’ve been doing some thinking lately about the all time home run record that Barry Bonds is about to break in Major League Baseball (MLB).

I used to be completely anti-Barry. I never wanted him to have the record because of his attitude and his apparent use of performance enhancing drugs like Human Growth Hormone and an offshoot of steroids.

However, in recent weeks, I have come to reverse my opinion. Now, I want him to break and hold the record for most home runs. No asterisk or anything.

I believe at this point, that MLB is reaping exactly what they sowed. They turned a blind eye to these kind of drugs in the late 80s and 90s. They did not acknowledge them or want to ban them because the drugs meant more home runs, more offense, and more butts in seats.

MLB pulled a Faustian deal in order to gain revenue in the short term.

And now, Bud Selig, the current MLB commissioner, cannot decide whether or not he wants to be present when Bonds breaks Hank Aaron’s home run record. I say, no demand, that he be present. He has to. He is one of the ones who have done nothing to stop the use of drugs in the game today. If he refused to do anything about the drugs then he should be there when the record is broken.

He cannot have it both ways. He cannot have the ability to refuse to ban the drugs and then try and make a statement about them by not showing up. No, if he wanted to make a statement about the drugs, then he should have done so years ago.

So, I am looking forward to the media storm that will accompany Barry Bonds as he breaks the home run record. Since, MLB has done nothing to stop the use of drugs in your and others careers, then enjoy the fruits of your labor. Savor the home run record. You will have earned by the rules of baseball. Congratulations.

A Geeky Moment

So there I was. Playing Lord of the Rings Online, LOTRO, and doing some quests.

I finish one called Chapter 11. At first it had me return to the Prancing Pony to talk to Strider. Then that changed as I approached the PP. It changed to meeting with Gandalf to get the next step on the long quest chain.

So, I enter Gandalf's room and I experienced a geek moment. I decided to clear the screen of all my UI stuff. I then snapped a screenshot of my character standing next to Gandalf.

The 133rd Kentucky Derby

Well, the 133rd running of the Run For The Roses has passed. Being that I am from Louisville, KY, I am slightly biased when it comes to the Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs.

I realize that a lot of people in this country really do not care about horse racing. I do not follow it full time. But, I do enjoy a good horse race. Being at the track and betting on the races makes for an enjoyable day.

However, after seeing this year's Derby winner, Street Sense, came form 19th place to win the race by 2 lengths was an amazing sight.

Watch the video that comes from NBC's broadcast of the race.

NFL Draft Aftermath

Well, the NFL draft has come and gone for 2007. Am I supposed to feel a sense of longing or loss or grieving now that it has passed? I feel like I should based on the way that it is hyped by ESPN.

Well, now I am going to try and figure out how the New England Patriots fared. They ended up only having one pick on the first day, which is the first three rounds. Going in to the draft, they had 2 first round picks. They traded picks to trade down which is something that they perennially do.

However, the biggest thing that the Patriots did, had nothing to do with drafting at all. They acquired the talented but troublesome wide receiver from the Oakland Raiders, Randy Moss.

I do not yet know what to think of this deal. It could either be huge or a bust. I do not see any middle ground. I n my opinion, if Randy Moss is going to succeed anywhere, it will be with New England. They coaching staff does not deal with hyper-personalities. If you act out, you are gone. Simple as that. They have had success stories. You need look no further than Cory Dillon to see that it can work.

I hope that it does work out. I believe that if it does, then he can help them win a Super Bowl. That would be fabulous.

I do not want his time in New England to be emblematic of the old Randy Moss joke.

"What is the difference between Randy Moss and a dollar bill?"
"You can get four quarters out of a dollar."

I'm Back

Well, here I am. I prefer not to be rocked like a hurricane, though.

Recently I picked up a new computer game. It is called Lord of The Rings Online, LOTRO for short. It is the newest in the genre of Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, MMORPG, more commonly referred to as MMO.

The only other online game that I have played is World of Warcraft. So, in comparing the two I have found some similarities and some differences.

For one thing, the leveling pace seems slower in LOTRO. In the same amount of time that it took me to hit level 15 in WoW I was maybe level 7 or so in LOTRO. This is not a bad thing necessarily. It just takes some getting used to.

Also, the crafting system is different. No longer do you get "skill-ups" just by mining the veins or gathering the wood. You, instead, get your skill points from smelting the ore or treating the wood.

The color of items in LOTRO is different than in WoW. In WoW, "purple" items were the epic items that required running through high end dungeons in order to get. In LOTRO, they have given just random drops from creatures the purple color. I am convinced that this was a cruel joke implemented just to torture the WoW people. I'm not saying I'm not laughing with it. I am.

In LOTRO I am also in a kinship called Exile. A kinship is the same thing as a guild in WoW. We called it Exile because it seemed appropriate. The few members that we have so far all have come from WoW. We were all in the same guild as well.

Well, that is all for now. I will write more later.

I'm Not Dead Yet

Hey there.

Just blogging in to report that I am still alive. I am, however, in Columbia, MO visiting with my wife this weekend. I will be posting new material starting around Tuesday of next week. Assuming of course that I am not going to be working like 16 hours a day at work.

I am currently working at 4th Street Live in Louisville, KY. There are a total of 3 new bars opening up in the next week or so. Angels Rock Bar, Tengo Sed Cantina, and Hotel.

More to come later.

A Time To Reflect

Well, I was going to post an upbeat story yesterday, but the events that went on at Virginia Tech has caused me to let a couple of days pass to properly mourn this terrible tragedy.

My heart goes out to everyone affected, including the shooter's parents.

May whatever invisible man that they worship, or not in some cases, give them comfort for awhile.

The NFL Drops the Hammer

So, the new National Football League commissioner, Roger Goodell, has brought the hammer down on “bad behavior”. He has suspended Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones for the entire 2007 season and Chris Henry for the first 8 games of the season.

Both have been involved in multiple instances of suspect behavior. Adam Jones, himself, has been involved/implicated in about 10 different cases. While he may have never been indicted on anything, just the fact that you have been in the wrong place at the wrong time 10 different times means bad things.

This is a list of all the incidents that Adam Jones has been involved in. Like the article says, and I tried to say above, there is only one charge against Jones. Like the ancient Chinese proverb says, "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me".

I for one believe that the new commissioner is taking the appropriate and correct steps in dealing with unnecessary off the field behavior. It appears that the player’s union, the NFL Player’s Association, is in support of the new policy.

Added NFL Players Association executive director Gene Upshaw: "The NFL Players Association and the Player Advisory Council have been discussing this issue for several months. We believe that these are steps that the commissioner needs to take and we support the policy. It is important that players in violation of the policy will have the opportunity and the support to change their conduct and earn their way back."

The new player conduct policy of the NFL also will hold any NFL employee to the high standards of the league.

Now, some people are going to say that this policy goes too far. How can you be punished if you have not been convicted of anything yet in the US legal system? This may sound like a legitimate argument. However, I believe that the NFL is a private entity that can enforce its own rules. If you were working in the business world and had been involved in as many incidents as Adam Jones, you could probably expect to be fired. But, as with anything else I say, that is my opinion.

Well, let me know what you think. Do you agree with the new conduct policy from the NFL?

Witty T-shirts are always a winner for me. I purchased one last year at Conglomeration that has the slogan, "Intelligence is the ultimate aphrodisiac" on it. I love it.

Jesus Will Kill The Easter Bunny????

In honor of the Christian holiday of Easter I am glad to offer you the following video courtesy of our friends at YouTube.

This is a clip from Robot Chicken and it is a parody of the Quentin Tarantino's movie Kill Bill. In this version sets out to kill the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and George Burns, all the while being attacked by medieval-weapon-bearing Jews.

Enjoy.

Spiderman 3

Well, here I come again with another movie trailer courtesy of YouTube. This seems to be a recurring theme. Oh well, go with what works.
This movie is Spiderman 3 from Sony Pictures. Sam Raimi is again directing this movie as he has the first two movies. Tobey Maguire reprises his role as Peter Parker/Spiderman.
Also returning are Kirsten Dunst and James Franco.

In the 3rd flick of the Spiderman trilogy Peter Parker has finally managed to piece together the once-broken parts of his life, maintaining a balance between his relationship with Mary-Jane and his responsibility as Spider-Man.

But more challenges arise for our young hero. Peter's old friend Harry Obsourne has set out for revenge against Peter; taking up the mantle of his late father's persona as The New Goblin, and Peter must also capture Uncle Ben's real killer, Flint Marko, who has been transformed into his toughest foe yet, the Sandman.

All hope seems lost when suddenly Peter's suit turns jet-black and greatly amplifies his powers. But it also begins to greatly amplify the much darker qualities of Peter's personality that he begins to lose himself to. Peter has to reach deep inside himself to free the compassionate hero he used to be if he is to ever conquer the darkness within and face not only his greatest enemies, but also...himself.

The movie opens on May 4, 2007.

Enjoy the video.

This makes me laugh

Well, after having spent the better part of the last year and a half playing World of Warcraft, I can finally see the end of the tunnel. I can say this because I bought the expansion pack for Civilization 4. It is called Civ 4 Warlords. I bought it yesterday.

I bought Civ 4 when it came out. Like, within the first week of release. Civ has always been a favorite game of mine. Same with the SimCity series.

But, back to Civ 4. I just purchased the expansion pack like I said, so that means I have to learn what all has changed from the original. Traits have changed, buildings and units have been added. It's a lot to keep up with.

The point of this post is that I read a news article today that announces the 2nd expansion to Civ 4, Beyond The Sword.

Ughh. I mean, I am going to have to relearn new material again in July. Oh well, I will still buy it.

This is what I get for getting addicted to WoW.

Family Guy: Stewie & Brian

Well, here is another Family Guy video from YouTube. This one shows the interaction between Brian, the family dog, and Stewie, the family baby.
This video does come with some warnings, though. Brian has borrowed money from Stewie and this is Stewie trying to get his money back. It does get violent.
However, I am old enough and mature enough to understand that this is a cartoon, and in no way should this type of behavior ever be condoned.
If you feel you child may be influenced by this video, just remember that it is your job as a parent to teach and guide your children.

Well, enjoy the video.

Well, here is another video from YouTube that features two things I like together.
Family Guy and 80s music.
The video is of Peter, Quagmire, Joe, and Cleveland doing karaoke in a bar to Journey's song Don't Stop Believing.
Also in the video is Mayor West voiced by Adam West.

Enjoy.

Joke of the Day

I was cruising around the internet and came across this joke. As an electrician I can relate to the bit that deals with electricians. But the punchline is still kinda funny.

Four surgeons were sitting around discussing who they like to operate on.

The first surgeon said, "I like operating on librarians. When you open them up everything is in alphabetical order".

The second surgeon said, "I like operating on accountants. When you open them up everything is in numerical order".

The third surgeon said, "I like operating on electricians. When you open them up everything is color coded.

The fourth surgeon said, "I like operating on politicians."

The other three surgeons looked at each other in disbelief. One of them asked why.

The fourth surgeon replied, "Because they are heartless, gutless, spineless, and their ass and head are interchangeable".

I hope you had a laugh. You should always try and laugh at least once a day. Try it, you'll feel better.

Shrek 3

OK. So, maybe you should just start calling me Movie Trailer Chuck. But, there are so many good movies coming up soon that the trailers need to be seen.
This next one is from Dreamworks movie Shrek 3. All the big name voices are back reprising their roles from earlier movies. Mike Myers as Shrek. Eddie Murphy as Donkey. Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona. Antonio Banderas as Puss-In-Boots.
Also returning are fan favorites Pinocchio, Gingerbread Man, and Dragon.
Shrek 3 opens May 14th, 2007.
Watch the trailer. It will do a better job of explaining the plot that I can.

Enjoy.

NCAA Final Four

Well, we are down to the final four teams from the 2007 men's college basketball tournament.
Florida, UCLA, Georgetown, and Ohio State. Two number 1 seeds and 2 number 2 seeds.

In my best bracket pick, I had 3 of those teams going to the Final Four.
How did everyone else's brackets turn out this year? Of the 5 brackets I created at ESPN, they range from the 4th percentile to the 81st percentile. I have definitely run the gamut.
Personally, I would like to see Georgetown win the championship simply because they are a Big East conference team as is my hometown team, the University of Louisville.

Go Hoyas!!

One of the Hardest Hits I Have Ever Seen

In the NFL playoffs that concluded a couple of months ago, The New Orleans Saints were hosting the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2nd round of the NFC playoffs. Reggie Bush caught a pass from Drew Brees in the flat.
Sheldon Brown from the Eagles spied him and laid what is undoubtedly the biggest hit of the year.

I would say enjoy, but that would be a lie based on the video.

One of the funniest videos......... EVER!!

OK, so I know that I just posted a video like 5 minutes ago. But this next one can't wait.
This is a video from Robot Chicken on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. It is showing what REALLY happened after the Rebels blew up the first Death Star in the movie Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

It is incredibly funny. There are bleeps where the cusswords would be. I laughed hard when I first saw this.

Enjoy.

Pirates of the Caribbean 3

I'm back with another movie trailer. This is from the upcoming Disney flick Pirates of the Caribbean 3.
Having seen the first 2, I can say that I was kind of disappointed with the 2nd one. I believe that proper editing would have made it a better film. The island scene could have been trimmed down to like 5 minutes.

But after watching the trailer for #3, all I can say is, "Yarr, I be there matey."

Enjoy.

Meet The Robinsons

Here is a video of an upcoming movie called, Meet The Robinsons from our favorite site, YouTube. The basic premise is that a boy, Lewis, is taken to the future all the while searching for a family.
The future is full of different stuff. Genetically enhanced frogs, dogs who wear glasses, and talking T-Rexs.
Oh yeah, the T-Rex is gonna steal the spotlight. I laugh every time I see the scene with him and the boy where the dino says, "I have a big head and little arms".

Check it out for yourself.
Enjoy.

Well, here is another Weird Al Yankovic video brought to you courtesy of YouTube.

A Kitten Cannon???

The link below is to a site that has a little Flash game that is called Kitten Cannon.
The premise is as simple as the name.
You pick the angle and power of the cannon and launch the cat out of the cannon.
The goal is to see how far you can make the cat go. There are "power ups" like bombs, trampolines and missiles that will send the cat even farther.
Yes, the game is as sadistic as it is fun. It is also very addictive.

Enjoy.

Comic Books That I Currently Read

The following is what I purchase and read on a monthly basis. This does not take into account the titles that I read on trade paperback form.

That's All She Wrote

Well, UofL just lost to Texas A&M in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament 72 - 69. They had the ball with 16 seconds left down by one.
Edgar Sosa shot what I will refer to as a "stupid" 3-pt shot with 7 seconds left.
A&M rebounded and made both free throws. Game over.
I do not mind it when UofL gets beat. What bothers me is when UofL loses because they are, in my opinion, stupid.
Ughhh.

Oh well. At least if everyone comes back next year, they have the potential to be really good.

So, while I hate to see the season end, the future does look bright for UofL.

Such is life in the NCAA tournament.

White & Nerdy

Here is another video from everyone's favorite site, Youtube.
This video is of Weird Al Yankovic from his new album Straight Outta Lynwood. The song is called White & Nerdy.
All, I know is that it would kick butt to have that sweatshirt that Al has on that says "White And Nerdy" on it.

A fun thing to do is try and pick out all the famous people who are in this video.

Enjoy. This song is too great. I laugh every time I watch/listen to it.

On To the 2nd Round

Well, UofL won their first round game on the NCAA tournament today against Stanford. They dominated from start to finish. At one point they led by as many as 33. They won by 20.
Now, they await the winner of the Penn/Texas A&M game later today.

Go Cards!!

NCAA Tournament

Well, the NCAA tourney begins tomorrow.
I will be pulling for UofL, since that is the team I follow and have season tickets to. Even though I know that no one is reading this blog right now I will still ask who your favorite team is.
Let me know.

Until next time.

The Best Super Mario Brothers, Ever.

You will find that I like watching videos.
Here is one that shows a group of students performing the first level of Super Mario Brothers at a talent show at their school.
All I can say is that if they did not win the competition, then they were robbed.

Enjoy.

Ahem

Let's try this one more time. This time I am going to try and just do some different stuff.
Videos, pictures, whatever.

Let's see how long I can keep this up this time.

Enjoy the future updates.
